  • You have a point, RwEvans. Not that I'm defending anyone here, but as both a social worker and as a private citizen in the 1970-1990's, I learned that police don't always record things. I've even been asked by officers to let a matter go because otherwise they'd have to "write it up".

  • I learned when I visited Pisa a few years ago that the degree of apparent lean of the tower varies as a person changes location. Even a slight difference in position can make a difference. Photography adds its own distortions.

  • I suspect the boycott of Amazon products was effective. I watch my indie-published book sales numbers daily, and all four books took a sudden and significant drop in sales. I'll suck it up. I'm glad to see that book gone.

  • Restoring the Gulf is what's vital. Why not go further and support actual economic growth in an already depressed area?
